2008. The Charm Of The Railway Station

   The main Belgrade's Railway station, i capital of Serbia is one of the oldest ones in Europe. It could be said that it has an admirable history and architecture. Unfortunately by un-maintaining, bad quality of railways and with nervous employs at the information desk and in trains, we couldn't say that it attracts positive attention. On the contrary, train even doe it is the most comfortable transport it has began the most avoided means of transport.

   When I was called to make some art intervention there, my focus was at all the embarrassing situations with the people employed. By any means I wanted to think of something that could help change their behavior so that they could at least start smiling to the passengers when they approach them. Therefore I came up with the idea to dress them into the dresses that were worn in the period of 19th century, when the Train Station was built.

    Irresistible charm that this kind of clothes initiates within person who is carrying it doesn't give person any other possibility but to smile, have fun and be polite to others. This small intervention made a great change within employs. The changes were noticed even on the first day.
